OfferDr is a marketplace app where customers post local jobs — snow removal, lawn cutting, driveway sealing, roofing and similar work — with a photo and an approximate location, and nearby workers bid on them in dollars. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it’s shared, in plain language.
It applies to the OfferDr mobile app and to offerdr.ca. Using OfferDr means you’ve read this policy.
Who we are
OfferDr is operated as an independent local service, based in Ottawa, Ontario. We’re a small team building a two‑sided marketplace: customers who need work done, and workers who bid to do it.
Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to match jobs with workers and keep the marketplace trustworthy.

How we use it
- To run the marketplace: showing jobs to nearby workers, showing bids to customers, and handling acceptance, completion, and ratings.
- To communicate with you about your account, a job you’re involved in, or a payment.
- To process payments, once payment features are enabled.
- To keep the platform trustworthy — for example, reviewing a report of abusive behaviour or non‑payment.
- To fix bugs and improve the app.
We don’t use your information to build an advertising profile, and we don’t sell it.
How we share it
With the other person on a job. If you post or bid on a job, the other party sees what they reasonably need to: your name, your rating, and your job’s approximate location. That’s how the marketplace works.
With service providers who run the app. We use Supabase to store account and job data, Google Maps to display locations, and — once payments are live — Stripe to process them. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of someone using OfferDr.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need it to provide the service — for example, keeping a record of a completed job for dispute resolution. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information except where we’re required to keep it (like tax or payment records).
Your choices
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- See what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your account and personal information.

Children
OfferDr is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and secure connections. No method of storing or transmitting data is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use OfferDr after a change means you accept the update.
